Katie Avery believes financial planning is most effective when it involves a personal touch. She finds a sense of purpose in helping others achieve their big-picture aspirations, as well as their smaller, everyday financial goals. As a Client Service Associate at Enspyre Wealth Advisors, she aims to use her skills and experience to provide personalized assistance with the goal of creating fruitful, long-term client relationships.

After living in Arizona for several years, Katie returned to her hometown of Mounds View, Minnesota, where she first learned about the power of personalized connections between small business professionals and the people they serve. In high school, she worked in her grandpa’s commercial real estate business, a small, family-owned-and-operated enterprise. There, she discovered she was well-suited to a small-business atmosphere, where every customer is treated with care and integrity.

Katie initially acquired her bachelor’s degree in Business Law and started her career in the legal field, but she found she was not passionate about the work. Eventually, she realized her true calling was financial planning. The prospect of developing lifelong relationships appealed to her, as did the opportunity to provide meaningful, personalized guidance. So, she began charting a new way forward.

To prepare for a career in the financial advisory industry, Katie studied for and acquired several licenses and designations, including Security Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, Series, 66, and Accredited Portfolio Management Advisor^TM (APMA^TM). Her first job in the industry was with a large financial advisory firm, where she analyzed financial data, developed financial planning recommendations, conducted trades, and more. Though she gained valuable on-the-ground experience, she knew this firm could never provide the individualized advice and genuine connections of a smaller financial advisory firm. When she eventually made the switch to Enspyre Wealth Advisors, she finally felt at home.

Katie lives in Mounds View, Minnesota, with her wife Annemarie and three lovable dogs. She spends much of her spare time working on ambitious DIY house projects and spending time with family, including her 21 nieces and nephews.
